Panel Erection for RE Wall

If you have seen my previous blogs, you might have got some knowledge about RE Wall. And if you have not seen those, then kindly go through these blogs

  1.  RE Wall Designer.
  2. RE Wall design for Panel Casting.
  3. How to make different types of Panels.
  4. How to do Panel Casting?
  5. Excavation for RE Wall.
  6. Dewatering from Excavation pit.
  7. Making the Levelling Pad on Excavation pit.
First you go through these blogs, then you will understand in brief, what I am going to explain here. Otherwise it will be meaningless and nothing will go into your head. For construction of Overbridged or Flyover, these RE Wall structure is very important to make the approach road/area. And how you will be going to make this, step-by-step is explained here.

OK, anyway let's come to the topic. How to do Panel Erection for RE Wall? So after making all those panels, after that digging the excavation pit and making the Levelling pad, now your work is to start the Panel Erection. So how you will do Panel Erection and what are the equipment's required to do Panel Erection?

So the very first and foremost equipment you required is H-clamp. For making this H-clamp you will need wooden-bit, tie rods of 12mm & drill machine. These H-clamp will help you to make the erection in proper alignment.

After that you have to make the Lifting tackle. This lifting tackle is available of different sizes in the market, but you have to bring it and make the design of your own. This lifting tackle should be of J-shape. So that the shorter side remain at back of the panel and the longer side at the front. Wait, I will show you the image. You have not been able to visualize it.

And one thing for lifting the panels, with the help of this instrument, you have to make two holes at the sides of the lifting tackle, so that a 20mm or 25mm rod can easily enter.

After that the next important step is about wedges. The triangular shape wooden wedges are very important to inclined the panels at an angle of 1°-5°. So that the panel comes inward little with. After all these steps are complete you can erect the panels one-by-one with proper measurements and proper tools. Like this the Panel Erection is done.

You cannot make the whole Panel Erection in one day. It will take time and hard-work to make it. And there are some more things left out to tell you. Such as using the machineries hydra, roller, JCB, grader and also giving the bamboo stamps at at back, so that the panel does not fall backwards. And lots of, lots of things to tell you, even how to erect the panels.

OK, how to erect the panels that I will explain you here only. First you lift and bring the panels with the help of belt/cushions. After bringing it place it above a cube block or any types of block (say paverblock). After that when the top side of the panel is kept above, you insert the lifting tackle. After that you take the cushions and insert the rod, bind it with the rod and tell the hydra operator to lift the panel above. And now your panel is ready to do erection properly.

First bring the panels.

After that give cube blocks and place over it, so that top side remains above. Insert the lifting tackle in it and after that insert the 20mm rod and bind it with the help of cushions.

Tell Hydra operator to lift the tackle carefully so that you can place it properly.

While placing the panel above PCC level, make sure the panel should be placed slowly and slowly. Then only it will come in proper position.

MACHINES USED AT CONSTRUCTION SITES

The most commonly used machine at any construction site is JCB where it's technical name is Backhoe. It is the most common and widely used machine in any construction project whether its big or small project. It becomes easier and makes the work faster for the companies at any time of interval.    All other machines such as Transit Mixer, Concrete Mixer, Roller etc are also used in any kind of road project or building project. Transit Mixer is used for large large building projects, bridge projects, some kind of road projects etc. whereas concrete mixer is for small building projects. Roller is used for road project and bridge project for its elevation.  For any building project the most commonly used machines are concrete mixer, transit mixer, concrete pump, bar bending machine, needle vibrator, water pump and many more. All these machinery works make the work easier and faster. Otherwise if the work is done with labourers it will take more time and less efficient ...

How to edit grid systems in Etabs

Okk in the last blog I had discussed about Etabs for beginners. You have got at least some ideas about it. If you have not seen it then click here . But here I am going to discuss how you will edit Grids/Columns in Etabs. As I had said by clicking on "Modify/Show Grid Systems" option a new dialog box appears, their you can edit anything. But you can also do it by different way. On the left side in grid dimensions (plan) you can see that two options are available. One is "Uniform Grid Spacing" and the other is "Custom Grid Spacing". Click on the "Custom Grid Spacing" and you see that Edit Grid Data option is available. Just click on that, and you can edit it as you want by giving the required dimensions in X-axis and Y-axis only. Ok whatever be lets come to the topic. If you have done it like as I have shown earlier then follow those steps. And the one who were new to this blog this is just for that. That's why I underlined with BLUE line an...

Excavation for RE Wall.

So, hey guys! How are you? You might have read my previous blogs about panel casting  and panel placing . Now it's time to learn about panel erection or what to do after 3-4 months of casting the panels. So the first step is about excavation for RE Wall. Then only you can erect the panels. So let us learn about this excavation part.  You all know excavation work is done by JCB or Falkland. To excavate the soil and then carry it to the other dumped areas. But before excavation you all know, to marked the center line as well as the outer line also so that the area doesn't excavate much as per the requirement. For excavation just you need to take 500mm more, then that of the given drawing.  Doing this excavation is easy. But what to do if it's flooded with rain water/ or water coming from other sources. Definitely your answer will be to do dewatering work with a water pump. That's fine. But do this dewatering work with almost by fixing 3-4 water pumps. So that it soaks...
