How to make 3D Render in Etabs

Ok, so in the last two blogs I had described about how to make beams, columns, slabs and staircase in Etabs. But as a beginner for somebody it's easy whereas for someone it's rough to understand or have misconception. If you have not understood or read it then go to the above links and practice it again. And if you have understood then it's good and go forward for the upcoming steps. Because the more you learn, the more you understand. The more you get knowledge, the more you learn new things. So if you want to render like as if I had rendered it then you are on the right website. Just follow the instructions as I have told you.

This is the Rendering view, which I have Rendered. You can also see the 3D View also.

After making the complete building structure and modelling all those beams, columns, slabs, staircase etc. you come to the ribbon wizard which is above plan view or 3-D view. You can see a Tick-mark β˜‘ option which is also known as "Set Display Option". You can also press on keyboard Ctrl+W.

After clicking or pressing that option a new dialog box appears. In their three tab appears, "General", "Object Assignments", "Other Assignments". You click on the General tab. After that in the Special Effects box you check the "Extrude Frames", "Extrude Shells" options. "Object Fill" & "Object Edge" options are check from first only. You no need to worry about these. That means it remains as default. After checking those Extrude Frames and Extrude Shells come to the below and you see that Apply to All Windows check box appears. Just check out that. After that click on Apply button. You can see the 3D-Struture in your display. After that click on OK button.

So now you can see your Plan view as well as the 3D-View windows also. It looks like as you have modelled the structure and ready to show to your client. But not like that. Well it's different thing I will explain this in the next blog. But see the 3D Structure. It looks like as you have rendered it. It looks amazing, isn't it?

But you now have noticed one thing. In the previous blogs I have told you to make staircase and I had made it also, but what's this. In here no staircase is available πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Ok, that's a different structure I have modelled and this is different. But you should not do like this, until you know anything about Etabs. After knowing a little bit about it you can make different structures and model it. But as a beginner you should have to practice it or exercise it πŸ˜„. Means exercise you brain and practice it as I have given the instructions.

And if you have not seen my previous blogs then, you can click here.

Ok bye, bye see you in the next blog. You can follow me on

How to edit grid systems in Etabs

Okk in the last blog I had discussed about Etabs for beginners. You have got at least some ideas about it. If you have not seen it then click here . But here I am going to discuss how you will edit Grids/Columns in Etabs. As I had said by clicking on "Modify/Show Grid Systems" option a new dialog box appears, their you can edit anything. But you can also do it by different way. On the left side in grid dimensions (plan) you can see that two options are available. One is "Uniform Grid Spacing" and the other is "Custom Grid Spacing". Click on the "Custom Grid Spacing" and you see that Edit Grid Data option is available. Just click on that, and you can edit it as you want by giving the required dimensions in X-axis and Y-axis only. Ok whatever be lets come to the topic. If you have done it like as I have shown earlier then follow those steps. And the one who were new to this blog this is just for that. That's why I underlined with BLUE line an...

MACHINES USED AT CONSTRUCTION SITES

The most commonly used machine at any construction site is JCB where it's technical name is Backhoe. It is the most common and widely used machine in any construction project whether its big or small project. It becomes easier and makes the work faster for the companies at any time of interval.    All other machines such as Transit Mixer, Concrete Mixer, Roller etc are also used in any kind of road project or building project. Transit Mixer is used for large large building projects, bridge projects, some kind of road projects etc. whereas concrete mixer is for small building projects. Roller is used for road project and bridge project for its elevation.  For any building project the most commonly used machines are concrete mixer, transit mixer, concrete pump, bar bending machine, needle vibrator, water pump and many more. All these machinery works make the work easier and faster. Otherwise if the work is done with labourers it will take more time and less efficient ...

Importing AutoCAD into Revit

So today in this blog I am going to explain how I made an AutoCAD 2D plan and then imported it into Revit software. So you read this blog from starting to end, then only you'll understand clearly.  This is all basic and not any crisscross idea or ruthless situation. It's very simple. First you do all the basic steps in AutoCAD, and you know what is that. Going to Format, set up the units and bla, bla, bla. After that making all these set-up you start with the drawing plan. You yourself have created a idea "how my drawing plan will look like" or "how will I make it?" But before going into complex, first you make a simple drawing plan, like this    First you make the lines and after that create the room size and area of your own. You are exclusively expert in that. This is the first and foremost drawing plan you have to make. And the rest you know how to make it. All boundary lines, room shape and size, passage, staircase etc. you know it very well.  Now you g...
