So making this simple design will involve number of steps and number of process you have to know. Main thing is important about your technical knowledge and skills. How does a bedroom looks and what are the furniture's needed in a bedroom? For this you have to understand the concept of 3DS Max. How to use the commands and how to modify it? Then only you can create any type of design or thing.
I was also finding difficult at first first time. While seeing any tutorial video of making a design of office room, bedroom, kitchen etc. But while practicing and understanding the concepts of each and every commands, now it's easy for me to design something new. I don't follow the tutorial video. I only just understand the concept and idea of making it. Not just by copying step-by-step and making the design like they had made it.
At first-first learning 3DS Max seems to like hardcore, not understanding anything, lots of pain (physically and mentally) etc. It seems like you have tried many times but nothing goes on succeed. It's like time-waste. But my friend believe it, the more you take pain to learn, the more you learn better and better. Every work has pain, but for that giving time and having patience is more important.
NOW THE MAIN IMPORTANT THING
Now the main important thing is that how I have made this design and what are the process that I have taken. It's very simple. First you learn the basic commands of 3DS Max and after that you will get to know it. Learn the basic commands of standard primitives, extended primitives & compound primitives as well as how to modify them. If you get to know these things, then easily you will understand my concept of making.
First you take the Box command and make it in a room size. And after that go for editable poly. From their you take the polygon tool and delete one side of the box. Then you start the rest of the work. Do extrusion, or make something new on the wall, or subtract from wall to make doors or windows etc. etc. You make the ceiling plan also (or say design). Now you go for importing materials.
Import the materials what is needed for bedroom design or Bed-Room. Import all the materials such as bed, TV, light, AC, cabinet etc. or even more. Give some extra wallpapers also for it's decoration or for aesthetic look. And after doing all these, you now go for importing materials. For importing materials, you do one thing, you download it from Google or from Pixabay.com website. Whatever the materials needed you can download it from there.
So, before inserting any material you know what to do. Click on the material and then click on bitmap and take the required material from the folder you have saved. After that insert materials one-by-one in proper position and place. Insert it wherever necessary like as, pillow, set-table, bed furniture, bed cloth, bed-cover etc. and many more. You can insert it one by one and if some materials needed to give then import it. And after that place it in proper position and select the material from the material browser that you needed. All these are needed to redefine your design, likewise I did.
As you can see here, that first I made a design, but it doesn't seem attractive to look at because of the blackness appeared on one side. After that I flipped it and made it such that dark side appears outside and bright side appears in. Then I tried to give something new, as it looks like hollow-hollow with those opening walls. So I imported a curtain in it. After importing curtain also it didn't seem to look better, so I imported a full curtain in it (which you can see at the above picture). Like that I did it step-by-step to get the appearance more better and brighter.
You can also do it. But main important thing is about practice. You practice it more and more and learn better and better. Then nothing will be un-forgetful for you. You can design anything you want. For more understanding you can click on this link. Or even you can watch this video.
