Construction Process

For doing any construction work, first you need to understand the following 9 steps :-

1. Select the plot or land where the construction work will be done.

2. Hire a consultant for the design you want.

3. Make the plan/design.

4. Make the estimate and the cost of budget required to do that work.

5. Take permission from government authorities.

6. Hire a Contractor.

7. Start with Site clearance and levelling.

8. Also go for the Survey work.

9. After that go on for construction process as per the drawing.

Also there includes many more steps after this. But all these steps could not be discussed at once thought. It includes many more do's and don'ts process. But to understand all these terms in briefly you can visit the following websites Construction process 1, Construction process 2Construction process 3 & many more sites. Just go and search for "Steps involved in doing Construction work".

BASIC

To do any construction work, you have to start from Site clearance. That's the main and basic fact, you have to remember. After that level the land or check the levelling whether the land surface is uniform or not, such that it does not remain any undulations. And after that go for Surveying work to give the levels and points, from where the structure will be start to made.

For any work, like buildings, bridges, dams, roads, railways etc. Surveying work is important. Without surveying your work will never fulfill your demand, for the construction you want to do. After that you can excavate the land and start with Foundation work. Whether you want to excavate for building or bridges or dams, it's your choice. If there is any piling work you can start for that also, by doing the surveying work.

PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTION

After doing all those excavation and foundation works, now you can rise for sub-structure work. For buildings sub-structure part is different, as well as for bridges sub-structure part is different. For dams also same, sub-structure part is different. After completing the sub-structure work as per the design given, you can rise for Super-structure work, by making for all those columns, beams, retaining walls etc.

In buildings, super-structure work includes are columns, beams, lintel beams, slabs, staircase, walls etc. In bridges, super-structure work involves are columns, pier-caps, girders, cross-girders, deck slabs, crash-barrier etc. Similarly for dams, roads, railways also. For all construction works, sub-structure part and super-structure part is different.

Anyway, jump to the following step. These work will go step-by-step and the Engineer & Contractor will make the decision based on the work. But by making all those sub-structure and super-structure part, your structure is ready and can carry on for some extraordinary works. Avoid honeycombs or cavities, if occurs in concrete. Modify it by cement-mortar and reshape the structure, such that it gives a uniform shape. After that go on for Plastering and Painting work, for the super-structure. And also give some more materials and items for its aesthetic appearance.

Like these all construction works are done. It takes a very long time to complete it and also has a big remuneration amount. This construction work is not possible to make without any huge marvels or Engineers. And after completion of the whole project you can claim for bills and accounts. There are many more to discuss about lots of steps involved in this construction process. But I have given an overview of work and steps.

There are also lots of things to discuss about pipe work, plumbing work, electrical work and some more things. Such that any structure which is made, it looks something extraordinary. By giving lights and color, think about that structure. Also by giving drainage pipes & running water pipes, think about the comfort. There are many more things to discuss, about these steps and guidelines. But I have given an overview of this construction work and how to develop its process.

MACHINES USED AT CONSTRUCTION SITES

The most commonly used machine at any construction site is JCB where it's technical name is Backhoe. It is the most common and widely used machine in any construction project whether its big or small project. It becomes easier and makes the work faster for the companies at any time of interval.    All other machines such as Transit Mixer, Concrete Mixer, Roller etc are also used in any kind of road project or building project. Transit Mixer is used for large large building projects, bridge projects, some kind of road projects etc. whereas concrete mixer is for small building projects. Roller is used for road project and bridge project for its elevation.  For any building project the most commonly used machines are concrete mixer, transit mixer, concrete pump, bar bending machine, needle vibrator, water pump and many more. All these machinery works make the work easier and faster. Otherwise if the work is done with labourers it will take more time and less efficient ...

How to edit grid systems in Etabs

Okk in the last blog I had discussed about Etabs for beginners. You have got at least some ideas about it. If you have not seen it then click here . But here I am going to discuss how you will edit Grids/Columns in Etabs. As I had said by clicking on "Modify/Show Grid Systems" option a new dialog box appears, their you can edit anything. But you can also do it by different way. On the left side in grid dimensions (plan) you can see that two options are available. One is "Uniform Grid Spacing" and the other is "Custom Grid Spacing". Click on the "Custom Grid Spacing" and you see that Edit Grid Data option is available. Just click on that, and you can edit it as you want by giving the required dimensions in X-axis and Y-axis only. Ok whatever be lets come to the topic. If you have done it like as I have shown earlier then follow those steps. And the one who were new to this blog this is just for that. That's why I underlined with BLUE line an...

How to make 3D Render in Etabs

Ok, so in the last two blogs I had described about how to make  beams, columns, slabs  and  staircase  in Etabs. But as a beginner for somebody it's easy whereas for someone it's rough to understand or have misconception. If you have not understood or read it then go to the above links and practice it again. And if you have understood then it's good and go forward for the upcoming steps. Because the more you learn, the more you understand. The more you get knowledge, the more you learn new things. So if you want to render like as if I had rendered it then you are on the right website. Just follow the instructions as I have told you.  This is the Rendering view, which I have Rendered. You can also see the 3D View also. After making the complete building structure and modelling all those beams, columns, slabs, staircase etc. you come to the ribbon wizard which is above plan view or 3-D view. You can see a Tick-mark ☑ option which is also known as "Set Displa...
