Business of Construction.

 The first and most affordable step of starting a business in construction is that you must have a Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering. But right utmost after completing your degree you could not open it. You should have to gain some experiences, after that only you can start running your own construction company. For Degree holders you must have 5=6 years of experiences whereas for Diploma holders you must have 10 years of experience (minimum). 


First you can start a business of construction with a minimum of 10-20 lakhs of amount. After that you can make an increment as you wish. 

Before starting a construction business the individual is required to obtain a permit or a license for a business as it acts as a certification to run a construction company. The entrepreneur may acquire a permit/ license from the council office. Once the entrepreneur gets hold for the registration certificate he/she can apply for GST or tax registration number, PWD License, TIN no. EPF registration required. 


After that He/ She can plan for business. The first & foremost step is to plan for business such as, detailing the budget, goal, finance, collection of raw materials, equipment's, machineries, target clients & expenses for various projects. This is the common factor for any kind of business. 

After setting out all these plans, you should have to do the following:-

1. Building business workforce: After the business has been registered, the owner can start appointing  personal & workforce. This is the main key for construction owner, because hiring a good taskforce will help to build healthy relations among the community and attract a field of new clients. 

2. Research work: It is always wise to know what one is in for when starting a new business. The entrepreneur should do a complete background check and access the market. This should be followed by gathering a through knowledge of regulations and rules that govern the construction sector. The type of site, the construction work coming up, checking the tenders, projects available in the surrounding areas, all these will help for up-bringing the finance of the construction company. 

3. Construction site management: There are lot moving parts involved in running a construction site. If you specialize in running a construction management, there are number of business opportunities in running a construction site. For example, you might offer land survey services to evaluate the land before the company starts building. Maybe you manage the logistics or material delivery to the construction site to ensure all the building materials arrive on time and at cost. Or you might offer people management services to ensure the workers on the construction line are finishing projects according to the projects timeline. 

Construction is a high growth industry right now in India, and is expected to remain strong for upcoming years. Building of infrastructures, commercial buildings, bridges etc. is likely to build in upcoming years. In fact, many fast growing small businesses are connected to construction, such as finishing contractors (e.g. drywall, flooring & painting). Utility systems construction (e.g. water, sewer, oil, gas & electricity), and structural construction (e.g. concrete, roofing and siding).

  2. Manage your business, but lead your people.
  3. Invest in your business.
  4. Be selective to be profitable.
  5. How will you finance to your company?
  6. Play to your strengths.
  7. Network to earn more work.

How to make Staircase in Etabs

 In the last blog I had described about making beams, columns, slabs/roofs in Etabs. But I forgot to tell you how to make staircase. Apology for that. But today in this blog I am going to discuss how to make staircase in Etabs. So before making Staircase first of all delete one side of the slab by single click. But remember one thing in the story side you should have to click "All Stories" so that automatically all slabs will get deleted and required gap and positioning will be appeared.  First click on All Stories After that select one portion of slab   After that go to Edit menu and click on Delete   Then one part of the slab of each story becomes hollow So doing the following steps you can now make the staircase.
